The Blue Ridge Mountain Rescue Group (BRMRG) is a member of the
Appalachian
Search and Rescue Conference (ASRC), an emergency resource that manages and
assists in the search and rescue of lost people and aircraft throughout
Virginia and its bordering states. Our organization is comprised of
volunteers who dedicate extensive amounts of time for rigorous training,
search missions, group function, preventative instruction, and public
awareness. Training consists of both vertical and semi-technical rescue,
land navigation, search management, wilderness survival, and wilderness first aid.
